adidas Originals presents the Back To The Campus edition of the iconic Campus 80s in Collegiate Navy/Tech Grey, in honor of our hometown Georgetown University.  This will be available exclusively at MAJOR, starting September 2nd, 2011, while supplies last.

Earlier this year, adidas selected 3 prominent partners (MAJOR, ShoeBizSF, and Nicekicks) to help them launch Back To The Campus trio of Campus 80s done in classic hairy suede, with distinctive material stories on 3 stripes to represent the college community that surrounds our respective retail locations.  As we sat down with the heads at adidas campus in Portland, we decided on classic blue & gray colors of Georgetown University, utilizing rich collegiate navy suede upper and technical fleece material in grey for the 3 stripes.  The result is a timeless classic shoe in a timeless classic combination, a basic necessity in any man’s wardrobe, whether you are a fan/alumni/student of Georgetown or not.

And last but not least, this would not be MAJOR, if we didn’t take care of your style head to toe.  Releasing with the adidas Campus 80s Georgetown on September 2nd, MAJOR presents our exclusive Georgetown MAJOR 59Fifty fitted by New Era.

Taking our traditional Washington Major design as the base, we designed this cap as a tribute to the old school Hoyas caps.  GEORGETOWN proudly takes the place of Washington on the front, while the cap is made to match the shoes perfectly.

Halloween came early this year at MAJOR with the area-exclusive premiere of adidas TS Heat Check Halloween edition.

The shoe boasts a gradient of black/orange scheme on the upper along with three metallic silver stripes on the foxing. These stripes are unique due to their ability to change color as the temperature of the foot rises. The tongue, the heel counter, the toe cap, the heel collar, the heel tab and the lace panels have all been done in glossy black patent leathers. The elevated contrast is given through the bright solid orange color on the laces and the midsole. And to give the perfect Halloween feel, the heel is designed with the jack-o-lantern graphic. The looks are completed with green accents on the lace lock and the outsole lugs. The mesh-work of orange to black gradient gives a unique and attractive look to these TS.

Based on Han Solo’s character from Star Wars, the leadoff sneaker from 2010 Fall Star Wars collection is the SL72, executed in carbonite-like leather upper with garment details.

Along with the immaculate details adidas put into this shoe, it also comes with a unique left shoe shell, made of chrome-like plastic for displays purposes (the cover is only for the left shoe).

Saturday, July 10th is the official launch date of the adidas Consortium x Nelson Mandela 46664 Charity adicup Herzo Pack.

This special package is a design collaboration between adidas Consortium group and Nelson Mandela’s charity group 46664 to honor the role of South Africa as the World Cup host this year.

This pack contains the Votary shoes, a black leather bag, a jersey, and a limited edition soccer ball that has been used as the match ball at all of the adicup tournaments globally this year.

The shoes are done in an iconic black leather with white accents, and contains all the features that are standard in the other regional packs which include rubberized midsole and segmented toe. The jersey is predominantly black with a 46664 logo stiched on the arm, as well as the ‘hand’ logo embroidered on the chest. The tournament ball is black with white detailing, featuring the hand logo again, the adicup 2010 logo and the Tango logo.

Available at MAJOR on Saturday, July 10th on a first come, first served basis, and will only be sold together as a package.  Phone orders will be taken after 12 noon.

To commemorate the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, adidas’ 9th annual FANATIC soccer tournament in New York City was taken global with a new name – adiCup, 2010 FIFA World Cup™ edition.

A special edition adiCup 2010 Consortium pack has been created for each of the host cities, including a soccer jersey, bag and a Votary trainer in honor of the games. Consortium represents adidas’ top tier footwear concept, focused on exclusive and limited edition product creations, and is distributed through select premium streetwear boutiques worldwide. Featured designs will include a Japan pack from MASTERPIECE x houyhnhnm, a Germany pack from No74 x Highsnobiety.com, and a UK pack from No6 x EXIT Magazine, all to be released on Saturday, June 12th.  A USA pack from UNDFTD x arkitip Magazine will release near end of July. A South Africa Final Pack, “46664″ as in the prisoner number of Nelson Mandela, will also be released in mid-July with proceeds benefitting Mandela’s 46664 foundation. 46664 is the global fundraising vehicle for the Mandela charities designed to inspire individual and collective action towards a better world for everyone. The 46664 Pack will contain a soccer jersey, bag, an official Tango gameball and boot.

We have 2 very special Consortium releases taking place on Saturday, March 13th.

The Unforeseen pack from adidas Consortium features some of the archives most sought after silhouettes re-worked with special materials and features to create a collection of truly unforeseen kicks. The first drop collection on March 13th features a re-interpretation of arguably one of the most classic and desirable signature basketball shoes that was ever released by adidas, The Non-Dyed.

The Non-Dyed’s upper features a buttery, premium, full-grain leather upper that is soft, supportive and extremely comfortable. The pebbled, white midsole will be instantly recognizable to die hard basketball sneaker fanatics while the herringbone outsole is still perfectly suited for perfecting your sky hook in the paint if your headed for the courts rather than the streets. Branding is minimal and limited to the contrast stitched 3-Stripes and an embossed Trefoil on the tongue. Initially available in a range of colorways including Uniform Blue, University Red and Black.

March’s adidas Consortium collaboration partner is none other than New York’s DQM.  The crew from DQM looked to a familiar silhouette, the Rod Laver Vintage, which they worked so well on the original Consortium collab series in 2009.

Made of premium grade leather, along with breathable mesh, this tonal beauty comes in 2 colors at MAJOR, Ink (Navy Blue) & Green.  Also available on Saturday, March 13th.

As seen earlier during Super Bowl time, our friends at Shoe Gallery Miami (shouts out to Danny) along with the crew from Miami Ink, Upset Gentlemen, have collaborated with adidas Originals to create this rich version of ZX 700 Boat.  Using only the finest premium materials available, the Miami crew has turned this boat shoe/runner hybrid into something truly stylish.  The upper features premium oxblood (burgundy) leather, along with grey leather, and blue gingham collar/insole.  Gold accents give this shoe the regal edge that it demands.  Now available at MAJOR Showroom & MAJOR Online Shopping Channel.
